SILK NOTE FESTIVAL is a joint initiative of the charitable Foundation “My step” and the “International Association for Development of Cultural Tourism” NGO.
The well-known truth is that culture is the hallmark of any nation, and in the case of Armenia it played an exceptional role in the preservation of identity.
The world tourism organization of the United Nations has estimated that 37% of the total tourism is cultural tourism, and it is growing every year.
Armenia has great opportunities in the field of cultural tourism, but now this potential is not fully used.
The charitable Foundation “My step” and “International Association for Development of Cultural Tourism” have a common goal to turn Armenia into a center of cultural tourism. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive work to attract international experience and opportunities.
Our first major project is the Silk Note Festival, which claims to be the cultural and tourist event of the year.
Silk Note Festival will offer not only local residents, but also tourists exclusive concerts, the headliners of which will be world-famous artists.
This festival will give an opportunity to keep Armenia in the center of attention of the international community and the press, to stimulate the development of the musical sphere, to enrich the cultural life thanks to the world-famous musicians.

Al Di Meola
A bona fide guitar hero and perennial poll-winner, Al Di Meola has been recognized internationally over the past four decades as virtuoso of the highest order. A prolific composer and prodigious six-string talent, Di Meola has amassed over 20 albums as a leader while collaborating on a dozen or so others with the likes of the fusion supergroup Return To Forever (with Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White), the celebrated acoustic guitar trio featuring fellow virtuosos John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia, and the Rite of Strings trio with bassist Clarke and violinist Jean-Luc Ponty.
And while his dazzling technique on both acoustic and electric guitars has afforded him regal status among the hordes of fretboard aficionados who regularly flock to his concerts, the depth of Di Meola’s writing along with the soulfulness and his inherent lyricism of his guitaristic expression have won him legions of fans worldwide beyond the guitar aficionado set.
Proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the process of rebuilding cultural institutions in the regions.
